Is this really Boston? Sounds like Cincinnati
I listened to this show over and over because the Cosmic Charlie always blew me away. Then one day I was listening to U of Cincinnati Field House recording from 1970 and noticed it's the same Cosmic Charlie, but in a more pristine soundboard form. I never compared the Crypticals, but I'm guessing they'd be the same too. Great show wherever it was.

cassettes are why people care
Yeah, the sound quality is not all it could be but it's totally listenable, especially in your car with the volume turned way freaking up. I actually like the way this tape sounds in the same way I like the way my 9th generation tape of 5-2-70 sounds: distorted to the max like some of those early Ash Ra Tempel Private Tapes.
This is seriously hot stuff and what's great is that you can tell it's going to be good from the first fifteen seconds of Cryptical. Both Jerry and Bobby are singing like they mean it ...
Where's the rest????

Where did this recording come from?
I have always been particularly curious of the history of this recording. Who recorded this and why has only one portion ever been heard? The THAT'S IT FOR THE OTHER ONE>COSMIC CHARLIE is great, but where's the rest of it?
Anyone who can shed some light on the history of this recording and what happened to the rest of it?
